Peggy Walt is the Executive Director of the Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association & Atlantic Books Today Magazine, since 2002, and also the owner of the Cultural Affairs Consulting and Promotion.

I highly recommend Trudy J. Morgan-Cole’s novel, By the Rivers of Brooklyn, published by Breakwater Books. I really knew nothing of the stories of the Newfoundlanders who had immigrated to New York for work, and those they left behind. Morgan-Cole does a great job of moving us between these two very different worlds over a few generations, and I just had to finish it. I think it would make a great movie someday, and it inspired me to want to read Colm Toibin’s Brooklyn, which I recently finished (and also loved). A great summer read!
