International bestseller Kenneth J. Harvey has had success with five of his books in Russia, and his latest, Reinventing the Rose, not even available in Canada yet, has been a bestseller at Book&Book.ru for months now. This updates the record from “For the first time, ever, a Canadian author’s novel has been published in Russia before any other country, including his own.” to “For the first time, ever, a Canadian author’s novel has been a bestseller in Russia before any other country, including his own.”
Lisa Moore and Trudy Morgan-Cole Win some Ippy Awards
Lisa Moore’s elegantly written February took Gold at the 2010 Independent Publishers Book Awards this week, for the Canada–East, Best Regional Fiction award, and Trudy Morgan-Coles’s By the Rivers of Brooklyn, a Newfoundland bookclub favourite, took silver.
