Esteemed Atlantic Canadian Literary Journal, Fiddlehead, Does Very Well on This Year’s National Magazine Award Shortlists

Yesterday, the shortlists for many, many different categories in the 33rd annual National Magazine Awards were announced. New Brunswick’s highly regarded Fiddlehead scored big, with:

Three nominations in the fiction category: Jeff Park’s “Back to Disney,” Steven Heighton’s “Shared Room on Union,” and J. M. Villaverde’s “The Spanish Hour.”

Two nominations in the poetry category: a triplet of Anne Compton poems, and Vanessa Moeller’s “Abondoned Postcards Found in Hotel Room 464.”

Congrats also to poet and essayist Zach Wells, author of Atlantic Poetry Prize nominee Track & Trace, on being shortlisted in the ”One of a kind” category for this essay in Arc.
