How Halifax Writer Jon Tattrie Got Canada’s Attention While Writing A Short Story in an Airport (incorporating stories from passersby)

In December of 2009, Jon Tattrie sat in an airport for 36 hours,  writing a short story set in an airport, and filtered true-life stories of passersby into his short story. I’ll say no more in hopes you follow this link to read more, and, read the story itself: http://www.jontattrie.ca/spec_proj/ChristmasattheAirport.htm

But what a great example of an emerging author building his name. This garnered him country-wide media attention that even jumped across the ocean and had the UK talking. Jon, among other praises, was declared part of “Atlantic Canada’s Next Wave of Writers” in the last edition of  Atlantic Books Today.

Check out his recent novel, Black Snow (A Chronicle-Herald bestseller), and poke around on his website to see other great stuff Jon is up to.
