At my very first book signing, I had people reaching over me for the new Dan Brown. It’s caused a personal vengeance.
Well, it only lasted for two weeks, and, fine print: this was at the Chapters in St. John’s only, not nationally, but Away from Everywhere spent two weeks on Chapters’ “Most Requested Titles” display, two shelves above Danny Boy! (Inevitably, he has since been ousted by Dan Brown and books about vampires.)
